Last day in the village

It was our last day in the village yesterday. After working on projects like Wawa's stories on E and the women making palm sugar, Angela's interview with a gamelan musician, Nory's write-up about T, James' editing the Vision Trip 2010 video, Ryan working on a design layout of a report, Chito's photo resizing and editing and Khieven's material gathering for a presentation video for Sunday's dinner, we also got to take a break and visit a batik factory.
The process was arduous, tedious, and required much creativity. The men worked on the difficult processes like stamping and the women intricately dyed and painted the fabric with skillful hands. No wonder some batik cloths take years to finish!
Khieven caught action photos to tell you the story behind batik-making.
