It took me a while to find a FREE trouble-free video converter. Here is one that I highly recommend:

It used to be very hard to find a free Mpeg converter for Mac. Thanks to the populairty of iPhone and iPod Touch, now we can find those. Now I have been using iMovie to do my conversion for me. Ofcourse it has more steps involved in than "just converting". :)
