Here are some of my favorite web forums related to video production

From time-to-time, people ask me for suggestions about places on the web to go to learn more about video production. Here is a short list of some of my favorite internet forums where I go to ask questions or just to see what other people in my field are up to:
DVX User is one forum I've been on for many years. It started as a place to discuss Panasonic's DVX-100 video camera (which I own), but quickly grew to include many other cameras and topics. When I get bored looking at the hardware-specific forums, I often check out the technique forums (audio, art direction, cinematography, lighting and documentary are a few of the ones available).

I'm an Avid Media Composer editor, so I spend a lot of time on the Avid Community Forums gleaning tips and solving problems.

One place that will give you forum overload is Creative Cow. There are forums on specific hardware, software plus a few on specific techniques. Pretty much, you name it, and there's a forum on Creative Cow about it.

Wow, Eric, thank you so much for this tip! I checked this out and more or less accidentally stumbled over a post that will save me much time in the future! This seems well worth looking at in more detail!
